*6 Syllable Types for Decoding
1. Closed: a syllable in which a single vowel is followed by a consonant (Ex: cAt, sIt)
2. Open: a syllable ending with a single vowel (Ex: gO, sO)
3. Consonant + le: an unaccented final syllable containing a consonant and -le (Ex: cir/CLE, han/DLE)
4. Vowel Team: a syllable containing two vowels that together make on vowel sound (Ex: bEAn, chEEk)
5. Magic e: a syllable with long vowel-consonant-silent e pattern (Ex: bOnE, pInE)
6. R-Controlled: a syllable in which the vowel is followed by the single letter "r". (Ex: stAR, bIRd)
