Subcommittee Projects

Creating common writing rubrics that reflect writing skills progression descriptors for beginning of year, mid year, and end of year grade-level proficiency; curating support materials for writing (exemplars, prompts, resources).

Organizing completed materials for user-friendly access (build a website); assist in organizing completed units into suggested scope & sequence storylines or other pacing options; set up a peer-review system on the website for user comments and implementation suggestions.

Reviewing completed units for opportunities to infuse career exploration activities.

Cross-referencing texts included in units with the History-Social Science audit findings to identify underrepresented voices and suggest texts that will support a more inclusive curriculum.
