Urinetown: The Musical is a dark comedy set in a future where a severe drought has led to a massive water shortage. To conserve water, the government bans private toilets, and everyone must pay to use public bathrooms controlled by a greedy corporation called “Urine Good Company.” The poor are struggling to afford the fees, and tensions are rising as people begin to question the system.
When a kindhearted young man named Bobby Strong decides to stand up against the unfair laws, he becomes the leader of a rebellion to give the people the “freedom to pee.” Along the way, Bobby falls in love with Hope Cladwell, the daughter of the company’s corrupt boss. The story mixes humor, romance, and social commentary, while also poking fun at the conventions of traditional musicals.
Full of catchy songs, over-the-top characters, and clever satire, Urinetown is both hilarious and thought-provoking. It explores themes like power, greed, and justice, all while reminding audiences not to take things too seriously.
An exclusive advanced theatre production
Descendants Jr. takes place in the kingdom of Auradon, where the children of Disney heroes live happily, while the children of villains are stuck on the Isle of the Lost. When Prince Ben becomes king, he decides to give four villain kids a second chance by inviting them to attend Auradon Prep.
The four teens, Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos, arrive at the school unsure if they belong. They struggle to fit in and feel pressure to follow their villainous parents or choose a different path, as they make friends and learn about life outside the Isle.
As the story continues, the characters learn about identity, acceptance, and choice. Through music and teamwork, the show teaches that people are not defined by where they come from, but by the choices they make.
