I was born in Illinois, raised in Detroit, Michigan, but have lived in Carlsbad most of my adult life. I love teaching. I always knew I would teach. I come from a long line of teachers -  including my mom that taught 3rd grade for 20 years before becoming a principal.  I’ve taught everything from kindergarten to college but 3rd grade is my love! (All three of my grown boys went through CUSD too. )

All my extra time is spent with my grandaughter, Junie!
