Hello! My name is Ehrin McDonald, and 2022-2023 marks my sixth year at Magnolia Elementary and my sixteenth year of being a teacher.
Besides Magnolia, I have taught at Pacific Rim Elementary here in Carlsbad, The American International School of Johannesburg in South Africa, and Talbott Elementary in Widefield, Colorado. All in all, I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades AND ESL, Spanish, PE and Art! This is my third year teaching the 4th grade component of Team MAG.

My husband Josh and I have been married for over 20 years and have three kids - Talia is a junior and Toby is a freshman at CHS, and Tyler is in 5th grade here at Magnolia. When I'm not teaching, you can find me on the side of a soccer field, judging a speech and debate competition, volunteering for robotics, hanging out at the beach, reading in the backyard, dreaming up our next trip, or walking our Golden Retriever, Winter. We love Carlsbad and are so happy to be here!
