Kristin Allen-Benes is a classically trained violist and string instrument enthusiast, born and raised in the Chicagoland area. Kristin graduated with a BM in viola performance from Western Michigan University where they studied under Igor Fedotov. 

Since graduating they have gone on to work in arts education and continue performing as a freelance musician in southern California, working at Idyllwild Arts, Double Peak School, and within Carlsbad Unified School District. 

Professional experience includes the West Michigan Symphony Orchestra, The Moscow Ballet, Early Music Michigan, the West Michigan Opera Project, Zene Strings, MiraCosta College Symphony Orchestra, and the Coronado Philharmonia Orchestra.

Juliana Quiñones is a music educator with over eight years of experience in Carlsbad Unified School District. Since 2016, she has served as the Music Director at Sage Creek High School, where she teaches String Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Instrumental Music. She is also advisor to several music clubs on campus, including Tri-M Music Honor Society, Young Leaders in Music Education, Jazz Club, and Junior Joy Givers.

Ms. Quiñones holds a degree in Instrumental Music Education from California State University, Fullerton, where she studied (French) horn under renowned musicians Marty Rhees, Paul Klintworth, and Todd Miller. Her passion for music extends beyond the classroom, as she is also a freelance musician in the San Diego and Orange County regions and a member of the MiraCosta College Symphony Orchestra.
