My name is Leticia Torres, your school’s Bilingual Community Liaison. I interact with the local community on behalf of your students school. Some activities include participate in "On Campus" activities such as Back to School night, CTE showcase, Financial Aide night, and many others.
In addition I attend community meetings such as YES Meeting, CUSD Parent University. We’ve partnered with the City of Carlsbad Library Community Learning Center to hold parent workshops. I also assist in interpreting for parents or students and encourage parents to attend and learn about the students schools programs such as Parent Square, Aeries, Google Classroom, Naviance and much more.

A food pantry for students
We would like to share that we have a "Village Market" on campus which is an essential supplies and food pantry for students and families. Students feeling hungry can get a quick snack or water at no cost. We currently have water, snacks, school supplies, lightly used clothing and shoes and essential supplies.
We encourage families to donate to our pantry. Your continued donations will help provide resources to students. If you would like to donate items for the market please review the list below. Encourage your students to come visit the Village Market located in the Counseling Office. Thank you for reading!

SUN Bucks, also known as Summer EBT, is intended to help families in California buy food during the summer months when school is closed. It works just like CalFresh. Children can get SUN Bucks if they qualify for free or reduced-price school meals through a school meal application or Alternative Income Form, or if they get CalFresh, CalWORKs, and/or Medi-Cal (certified at or under 185% of the Federal Poverty Level).
You don’t need to do anything to sign up. SUN Bucks provides $40 per month for June, July and August. (That is a total of $140 for Summer) For additional information click on the link below.

Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT) provide in-person support to anyone, anywhere, experiencing a mental health, drug, or alcohol-related crisis.
MCRT dispatches behavioral health experts to emergency calls instead of law enforcement, when appropriate, with teams made up of clinicians, case managers, and peer support specialists.
