Workshop Schedule
The workshop will consist of 6 different modules covering a range of topics related to computational biology. Each module will consist of an introduction to the topic/problem under consideration and a hands-on component for students to complete.
Workshop Location: The workshop session will occur in the Weitz Center for Creativity (WCC), Room 138. All meals will be available in WCC 133. For a campus map see here. For a map of all important locations see here.
Friday September 28:
- Arrive on campus and check into hotels.
- Module leaders will be invited to a dinner.
Saturday September 29:
- 8:00 am - 8:45 am: Breakfast and registration (WCC 133)
- 8:45 am - 9:00 am: Welcome (WCC 138)
- 9:00 am - 10:30 am: Module 1 - Finding Friends in Molecular Interaction Networks (WCC 138)
- 10:30 am - 10:45 am: Break
- 10:45 am - 12:15 pm: Module 2 - Peptide and Protein Identification using MS/MS Data on the Galaxy-P platform (WCC 138)
- 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm: Lunch (WCC 133)
- 1:15 pm - 2:45 pm: Module 3 - Identifying Somatic Mutations in mtDNA (WCC 138)
- 2:45 pm - 3:00 pm: Break
- 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Module 4 - Machine Learning for Biological Data (WCC 138)
- 6:00pm - Dinner for everyone at Chapati restaurant (Downtown Northfield). The restaurant is in walking distance of campus and hotels. Here is a map with the location of the restaurant.

Sunday September 30:

- 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm Lunch (WCC 133)
- 1:15 pm - 2:00 pm: Concluding remarks and assessment procedures
