You will avoid fuel station scams by just always verify that the fuel pump is in 0 before they start pumping and always ask for your receipt, Credit cards are accepted but remember payments are in Mexican pesos, all fuel station signalized the prices per liter. 1 liter = around 1.5 USD

Passion Island and Punta Molas lighthouse are not allowed. Offroad operation is not allowed at any circunstance.
Parking in downtown is easy, always look at the signs. RED, YELLOW & BLUE line in the sidewalk means NO PARKING. Only WHITE line is allowed to park.
On the east side there are two roads, always use the main road as shoreline road is for bicycle use only, At the south side you can use the shoreline road but its only 1 way road going south, be careful.
Cozumel streets are not the best always drive slowly and take care of the bumps and potholes they are everywhere.
First thing to do in case of an accident is to call your car rental company immediately.
If police stops, call immediately to your car rental company they can deal better with them than you.
Be aware of hundreds of scooters driving around the island every day, watch them.
