Auditions for 2027

2027 Junior Ballet 

“Fairy Doll”

Fundraising for Right Track Foundation and Living Child

This Junior ballet is a great first experience for young or inexperienced dancers. We welcome all ages and all experience levels. 

This year’s performance of “Fairy Doll” production will be a sweet and short adaption of the classical ballet. Non-verbal acting will be required as well as classical dance skills.  

I expect that all dancers always show respect to each other and the crew. I focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment for the dancers to excel and attempt new things.

For successful applicants there is a once off donation of $90.00 to participate. This goes towards the dancer’s costumes as well as props and staging. 

It is recommended that all students are either participating in a technique ballet class either with myself or with another school. It is important that all students understand basic classical technique and terminology. 

Auditions – Saturday 20th February 2027 2.30-4.30pm

Rehearsals- Saturday afternoon – 3.00pm-4.30pm (Closer to performance rehearsals may be extended)

- There will be rehearsals during week 2 of the April school holidays. 

***Rehearsals are to be held at Carey Baptist College, Harrisdale

Dancers are expected to come in appropriate tight fitting dance attire with hair off their face to all rehearsals. Canvas or leather ballet flats will be required for rehearsals unless you are asked to wear a more specialty shoe such as pointe or character. 

Please always bring a water bottle to rehearsal to minimise disruption. If you are un-well or sick please stay at home.

PERFORMANCE DATES- Performance is on Saturday 19th June 2027. Performance will be afternoon or early evening with dress rehearsals during the day. The final dress and stage rehearsals prior to the first performance are greatly beneficial and all participants are required to be there.

Volunteers- Our team is 100% volunteer run. We are looking for parent volunteers to join our crew! We need help with many things such as costumes and advertising. Please contact me if you would like to join our crew for 2027.

2027 Pre-Professional Ballet 

“Snow White”

Fundraising for Carey Right Track Foundation and Living Child

This pre-professional ballet, is a great opportunity for experienced dancers to gain more stage experience. We recommend ages 8+ audition, who have strong classical experience. 

This year’s performance of ‘Snow White’ is a classical contemporary adaptation of the classic fairytale. We are looking for classically trained dancers with theatrical stage presence. Some of our more experienced dancers will be taught balance lifts and tosses as a part of their choreography. 

I expect that all dancers always show each other and the crew respect. I focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment for the dancers to excel and attempt new things.

For successful applicants there is a once off donation of $150.00 to participate. This goes towards the dancer’s costumes as well as props and staging. 

It is recommended that all students are either participating in a technique ballet class either with myself or with another school. It is important that all students understand classical technique and terminology. 

Auditions- Saturday 6th of February 2027, 3.30-5.30pm

Call Backs- Saturday 13th of February 2027 in the danceroom. 4.00-6.00pm (Dancers will receive an email if they are required)

Rehearsals- (please note that times are sometimes altered depending on the dancers and scene requirements) Not all dancers will be needed for all rehearsals.

-Saturday afternoon/ evening: 4.00pm – 7.30pm (Times will vary)

Please note that holiday rehearsals will be different to school term, there is normally always extra rehearsals over the school holidays. We will be rehearsing in the second week of the April school holidays.

PERFORMANCE DATES- There will be four shows, between the 8th-10th October 2027. Dancers will be needed all day on Friday the 8th of October for dress and stage rehearsals.
