How to Improve Soft Leadership Skills
Embracing Assertiveness: A Journey of Transformation for 'People-Pleasing' Women in the Workplace
Our recent seminar offered a transformative experience, especially for women in the workplace often struggling with 'people-pleasing' tendencies. We explored the crucial shift from excessive appeasement to embracing assertiveness, guided by the profound lessons from "The Courage to be Disliked," "Tao Te Ching," and "Taking Oneself Seriously." Participants gained a deeper understanding of soft leadership skills and the importance of setting boundaries. This seminar was a journey of self-discovery, helping many see reflections of their past selves and encouraging a brave step towards saying "no" when necessary. It was a significant stride in empowering women to navigate their professional paths with assertiveness and grace.

Women in Tech Leadership Program Panel Discussion
The recent wave of layoffs in large companies has significantly impacted many professional individuals, including many women. Women already encounter numerous challenges, such as gender bias and the struggle to balance family and career. During this layoff wave, some female employees have been laid off while on maternity leave, highlighting the additional hurdles women face in the workplace. How do women regain their confidence after being laid off? How can they enhance their skills to increase their standing within a team?
To answer these questions, we have invited three accomplished women leaders, Wendy Sun, Tian Li, and Lili Liu, to our upcoming Thursday meetup. They will engage in a discussion on the most challenging topics faced by women in the workplace today. These topics include strategies for adjusting one's mindset after experiencing a layoff, effective techniques for managing upward in the corporate hierarchy, fostering harmonious relationships with team members, and navigating the do's and don'ts of cross-team collaboration.
Our esteemed guests bring a wealth of management experience from the tech industry, and they possess unique insights into the current landscape of women's empowerment in the workplace. During the event, they will address various aspects such as the role of coaching in personal career growth, leveraging and investing in personal strengths, and even exploring how introverts can foster social transformation. Our goal is to provide participants with practical experiences and valuable insights that will empower them to excel in their professional lives and lead extraordinary lives.
We wholeheartedly welcome you to join us for this remarkable event. The meetup will provide an interactive platform where you can engage in direct dialogue with our esteemed guests. Our primary focus is to tackle the most critical challenges encountered by women in the workplace. Furthermore, we believe that this series of activities under the "Women in Tech Leadership Program" will serve as a catalyst for fostering a profound understanding of ourselves and others. By coming together, we can explore and unleash the untapped inner strength within women in the workplace. Through empowerment and unity, we will conquer obstacles and flourish in our professional journeys. Don't miss this opportunity to empower yourself and others. Join us and thrive!
