Mrs. Hanna Snider is our South Shelby Elementary school counselor and elementary art teacher. She teaches all students in preschool-5th grade in art class once a week. Mrs. Snider also offers small group and individual counseling when needed.
Our art class curriculum focus on the elements of art (line, shape, color, value, texture, form and space), as well as exploring different kinds of art materials and learning about artists. Students are encouraged to create art they love. We also learn a variety of different coping skills and talk about problem solving for both art and social settings.

2024-2025 Art Show Images
Our Spring 2025 art show had a food theme. Students created food art using clay, as well as collage, painting, and more. Their artwork looked good enough to eat!
Our Fall 2024 art show focused on texture and featured works based on Van Gogh's The Starry Night and Sunflowers. Fifth grade students voted to make space themed artwork as well.
