Welcome to Cardinal Newman Model UN! We will be adding information about the upcoming 2025-2026 school year very soon! We are excited to be starting the Model UN class and continuing with the Model UN Club.

Thursday, August 27th - Meeting for President and Cabinet Members only

Thursday, September 3rd - First Club Meeting 

Thursday, September 10th - Country Designation for October 24th Conference; fundraising ideas

Wednesday, September 23rd - Work on research for position papers, etc for October 24th Conference

Wednesday, October 7th - After school *** 2:30 - 3:15 - Continue working on arguments and position paper

Thursday, October 22nd - Final prep for October 24th Conference

Saturday, October 24th - Mandatory October Conference -- 9:00 - 3:00 @ SLC

Friday, October 30th - Payment due for March Conference (Commitment Day)

Thursday, November 5th - Shift to March BMUN research

Thursday, December 10th - Final meeting of the 1st Semester

Thursday, January 21st - Work on research for position papers, etc for BMUN Conference

Wednesday, February 3rd - After school *** 2:30 - 3:15 - Continue working!

Thursday, February 18th - Work on research, etc

Thursday, March 4th - Final meeting, prep for BMUN Conference

Friday, March 5th through Sunday, March 7th - BMUN!

Thursday, March 11th - Debriefing about BMUN; vote for 2027-2028 leaders

Wednesday, April 7th - After school *** 2:30 - 3:15 - Next steps for 2027-2028! Last meeting for MUN for 2026-2027!

Responsibilities for 2026-2027

President / Secretary General = Lead meetings, call to order, makes decisions 

with Mr. Alioto’s assistance

Vice President = Represent President when President is absent

Directors of Training (2) = Assist others in understanding important terms, etc

Directors of Research (3) = Assist others in finding research for topics, etc

Treasurer = Lead in raising funds - sweatpants day? Other fundraising?

Communications Director = Provide communications to CN Marketing (Sierra)

Secretary = Taking down notes for each meeting; decides Advisory agenda with 

President, Vice President and Mr. Alioto
