Our class studies one BIG word every week. We do this inquiry-style, where students discover the meaning by guessing and honing guesses from various context clues throughout the week. So no fair asking your parent to look up the meaning. 😃 Words will be revealed each Friday.
illuminate-- make visible, help clarify, light up
disgruntled-- dissatisfied, grumpy, upset
tenacious -- very determined to do/accomplish something
bustling -- to have a lot of busy, noisy, energetic activity
diminish -- to reduce, to fade
vigilant --alert, watchful
engrossed -- focused, absorbed in something.
daunting -- intimidating, overwhelming.
whimsical -- of fantasy, of imagination, full of magic.
fledgling -- new, inexperienced, a beginner.
