Superhero Art Show

For this project third grade students learned about the possible attributes of a superhero. Students then developed their own superhero self with super powers, super tools, setting, purpose and antagonist. Students learned the steps of drawing and used these steps to create their own unique illustration. Each illustration contains the students superhero self in a setting that goes along with their superhero’s story. The illustrations are first penciled, then inked and lastly they are watercolor painted to get the beautiful vibrant colors you see. This is a six day project for students and is the culmination of their imagination and abilities. With 207 illustrations district wide this exhibit is the result of more than 1300 hours of work. Please browse, read the stories and enjoy the imagination of Carbon County’s third grade students.
