Graduation Day: Wednesday Evening, May 25, 2022. Graduation will begin promptly at 6:00 PM.

Seniors need to be in the Main Gym by 5:00 PM (at least one hour before graduation begins. Doors to the Main Gym will open at 4:30 PM). There will be photo opportunities available while you wait. You can have a cell phone, but please don't bring other gear (purses, water bottles, etc.).

Tickets Are Required! (and FREE)

Each graduate will receive 5 tickets in total. There will be 2 yellow "priority" tickets and 3 "general" tickets. The yellow "priority" tickets are in case graduation needs to be moved inside. ONLY yellow "priority" tickets will be accepted at the door if that happens. **Yellow tickets allow admission both outside and inside.**

Anyone with a heartbeat attending graduation needs a ticket. (Yes, that means babies and toddlers.)

If you have any extra tickets that you do not intend to use, please return them to the CHS Main Office.

Graduation will be livestreamed via ETV, so additional family and friends can watch online.

(Follow the link at the top of this page on Graduation Day.)

Request additional tickets by completing this form: 2022 CHS Graduation Ticket Request.**

**The form will remain open to request tickets, but there is no guarantee there will be more available.

Please also remember that graduation will be LIVESTREAMED via the link at the top of the page for anyone who can't attend in person. (Thank you, ETV!)

Caps & Gowns

Caps and Gowns have been distributed by Jostens. You can still order online at www.Jostens.com. If you're not sure if you ordered or not, please call them at 1-800-JOSTENS. The cost is $40 for cap/gown/tassel. If you just need a tassel, it is $15. (Here is a direct link if you want ONLY a cap/gown/tassel).

Girls wear WHITE caps & gowns. Boys wear BLUE.

If there are seniors who don't plan to "walk" due to economic hardship, please contact the school.

Because this is an outdoor venue, please plan accordingly. For example, you may want to use bobby pins to hold your cap in place in case of a breeze.

DO NOT decorate your cap! Caps should all be PLAIN for the graduation ceremony.

(If you'd like to decorate it AFTER graduation, you are more than welcome to do so, but please do not embellish anything for graduation.)

You are welcome to bring a blanket or stadium seats to put on the bleachers. Seats are only in the bleachers. Please do not plan to sit on the grass terraces. The driver can then exit around the back of the school and out to the front parking lot. The parking lot gates will close at 5:40. After that, you will need to park and walk in together through the pedestrian gate. Please do NOT park behind the school! Those spaces are reserved for faculty.

Additional parking is available at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

If you are parking on the street, please be courteous to homeowners living near the school. Please do NOT block driveway access or park illegally (you will be ticketed).

Restrooms

Diplomas

The Carbon High School Graduation is a very important ceremony. In order to reduce distractions and maintain the order and professionalism of the proceedings, we must clarify expectations regarding how this ceremony is to be conducted. Only individuals sitting on the stage and wearing graduation regalia will be allowed to hand out diplomas. This will include: Carbon High School Administration, District Administration, School Board Members, and Carbon High School teachers.

As is traditional, students will receive their diploma COVERS during the graduation ceremony.

Official diplomas will be available for pick up at the Concession Building immediately following the graduation ceremony.

Pictures

Students are welcome to take pictures while they are gathering/waiting before graduation starts.

Information regarding professional photos will be provided at the top of this same website following graduation. (Links, contact information, etc.)

After Graduation

The football field area will be open to students and families to mingle and gather for ONE HOUR following the conclusion of graduation ceremonies. Please feel free to mingle, take pictures, and celebrate during that time. You can also pick up diplomas and leave for individual family celebrations. Please be smart and safe!
