Dougherty Science


About your instructor:

Julia Dougherty has been a Science instructor for 8 years at the top-ranked full-day technical school in PA, Carbon Career and Technical Institute, where she teaches Biology, Physics, and Anatomy and Physiology. Prior to teaching Science, Mrs. Dougherty was an Organic Chemist for the Dept of Defense as an ORISE fellow and worked her way through a Master's Degree in Education as a Biology Supply and Lab Manager at Delaware County Community College and St. Joseph's University. She is a former Program Coordinator for The Lower Merion Conservancy and StreamWatch Intern for Delaware Nature Society. She received her degree in Biology/Ecology at Kutztown University and her Master's Degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in school leadership from St. Joseph's University.

During the Summer months, Mrs. Dougherty teaches Physical Science in the Upward Bound program at East Stroudsburg University.
