It is better to have some supplies on hand to be prepared if your child starts their period
Consider getting a box of pads in the right size for your child. You may also want to look into heating pads or other pain management support for cramps.
If your child starts their period while at school, health offices have pads available. Let your student know ahead of time that they can go to the health office for support. Many time students are often embarrassed to ask if they have not already felt comfortable discussing it in another setting (such as home).
If your student needs support with toileting or feminine hygiene in the school setting, please contact your schools health office for necessary forms and other information.
