Students who want to participate in an additional group outside of school, who enjoy playing with students who also want to make music more than their school programs, and want to have fun, want to participate in one of these wonderful band or orchestra programs. All of the information that we know is shared with you here!! If we have missed a group, let us know and we can add it. If you would like suggestions or help with information and/or the audition, please call the numbers listed below or see your teacher at school.

Some groups have auditions in late Spring for the next Fall and others are in the Fall for that year. Any interested students need to prepare early (that means practice the required music and get guidance/help weeks or months in advance). All State, All Southern, and the CUSD Honor groups have auditions in early December. All Southern and All State post their music audition requirements in the summer and CUSD posts music audition information typically in November.

AUDITION SUGGESTIONS

Order the required music early. (Try one of the links to a Sheet Music Store found on our Music Links Page.)

• Begin practicing your required scales & songs as early as you can

• Ask for help or get private lessons when you can. The extra input can really lead you in the right direction.

• Make sure to send in any application and/or other materials early or on time
