Who?

All bands & orchestras. The Adv. Orch. & String Ens. will combine to one large group. The Adv. Band & Wind Ens. will combine to one large group

What time?

The ORCHESTRA students need to arrive at CVHS between 5:15-5:30 PM and their concert is at 6:00 PM. The BAND students need to arrive at CVHS at 7:15 PM and their concert is at 7:45 PM. Each Concert will last approx. 1 hour.

Where?

What is it?

Every group will be performing about 10-15 minutes worth of music for the audience of parents and the other school students. This is a chance to see what happens with each group throughout the years in the District. The groups are from Bathgate, Reilly, Viejo, Castille, & Hankey's 5th grade classes, Newhart & Hankey MS's Intermediate and Ensemble groups, and CVHS's combined ensemble.

Is there an attendance requirement for this concert?

Yes, this concert is mandatory for all students in the groups listed above. Students will be getting a grade for all concerts, including this one. We can help find a carpool if needed. Sports games are not excused absences but see your music teacher if you need special arrangements. We are glad to help you make it work.

What will they need to bring?

Students will need to bring their own instruments & music and they will need to wear their full tuxedo concert dress. Click here to get to the Concert Dress Page. We will be passing out bow ties at the event.

Do we need a permission slip for this concert?

No, as this is a school event within our district.

What if I cannot get to school for the concert? (Example: My parents are working and cannot get me to school)

We will do what it takes to help all students get to your concert but we need a little time to help you. If you think this might be an issue, please talk with your parents ahead of time. If you need a ride, please let your teacher know at least a few days before the concert so we can help you! ALL students deserve to show off their skills and perform!
