Elementary Academic Success
Maintain an organized binder & backpack (this includes minimizing the number of items they bring to school)
Try to prepare their backpack / clothes / lunch the night before
Start homework within 30 minutes of arriving home
Monitor your child while they complete homework and have a designated spot for homework completion
Focus on one item at a time; multitasking has been proven to be less effective than doing 1 task at a time
Try to minimize distractions while doing homework (put away phone, turn off TV & videogames)
Make sure your child arrives on time with their materials needed to be successful in class and ready to learn
Attendance is extremely important for the success of your student
