Class Overview
The DHHS Marching Band a past Champion in the California State Band Championships Division 1A, and is a non-auditioned spirit ensemble at Dana Hills High School. All students are welcome to join the Marching Band without an audition or prior experience. Our ensemble is made up of three main parts, Winds, Percussion, and Dance/Color Guard. Students with prior Wind Instrument experience join our wind section. Students who do not play a wind instrument generally find a home in our percussion section, where our skilled student mentors and professional coaches teach our students how to play mallets, drums, keyboards and more. Students who are looking for an element of dance, or just looking for a fun, musical way to earn their PE Credit may join our Dance/Color Guard, where students learn the basics of dance and learn to spin a variety of equipment choreographed to music, including flags, rifles, and sabers.
Take a look at our site to learn more about what we do! We look forward to seeing you this fall!
