The Capital Area Intermediate Unit’s (CAIU) Rapid Response Team (RRT) was created through cross-agency coordination as a result of an increasing need to help families when their child is at risk of suspension or expulsion due to behavioral issues. The RRT works closely with child care staff, families, and children to help develop relationships and address environmental considerations.  The team’s goal is to help all children become successful in these earliest social settings. 

To address this need, we have developed the following resources

• RRT Development Manual to guide creation and fidelity of additional programs across Pennsylvania

• Train the trainer manual which includes an extensive literature review and an overview of the entire rapid response process

• RRT Toolkit, research-based interventions, materials and step-by-step descriptions of best-practices
