Bio: I am currently the Mathematics Curriculum Advisor for the PA Department of Education. I have previously been a math and physics teacher and school administrator. I also spent 16 years in the US Army and PA National Guard.

Bio(s): Sally Lopez serves as an English Language Development (ELD) Educational Consultant at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. After learning Spanish as a second language, she became passionate about language acquisition. Her nineteen years in the field of education have been dedicated to advancing the work of providing quality instruction to multilingual learners. Sally adheres to an assets-based approach and believes that the voices of multilingual communities should be an integral part of the education system.
Lena Stuck is an educational coach and the remedial math lead at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU), where she supports teachers and schools in strengthening math instruction and intervention practices. She brings 17 years of classroom experience to her work with educators and students. Through coaching, professional development, and collaboration, she empowers teachers to use effective, engaging strategies that meet the needs of all learners.
Brandy Kanode recently joined the CAIU as an English Language Development (ELD) Educational Consultant. She brings deep classroom and leadership experience spanning elementary, middle, and high school settings. Beginning as an ELD classroom teacher, her work evolved into roles as an ELD Instructional Coach and Program Coordinator, where she has supported educators and systems in strengthening instruction, alignment, and access for multilingual learners. She brings a student-centered lens to professional learning, helping educators examine beliefs, instructional decisions, and systems that impact the success of multilingual learners.
