The Capital Area Hoarding Consortium, herein referred to as CAHC, was founded by Copper Bridge Counseling, PLLC. in 2025 to develop and manage a coordinated plan of interventions that maximize resources across agencies in order to achieve the best possible results with regard to reducing hoarding, benefitting the person who hoards, and those affected by the problem, and long-term cost effectiveness.
Copper Bridge Counseling, PLLC was founded by Laura Jo Acuna, LCSW-S in 2008 to provide professional counseling services to adults in the state of Texas. She is licensed in Texas and Colorado to independently practice clinical social work. With an advance degree in social work, specifically in supervision and planning, along with 15+ years of direct care experience, Laura Jo brings a dedicated leadership and drive to from the person in the environment perspective and systems pragmatic planning.
