Jesse Holman

LS Music Teacher

I am a North Carolina native, born and raised in Statesville, NC. Throughout my early school years music was always my favorite subject and as a young kid you could find me singing "Lion King" tunes around the house non-stop. I have always had a passion for music and love that I get to share that with my students.

I moved to Wilmington in 2014 to continue school and received my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from UNCW in 2016. I have been teaching at CFA for 6 years after spending two years working as a 3rd grade teaching assistant and after school program assistant.

My main goal is to teach my students to love and appreciate music as an art form and as a means of connecting with others.

“When somebody plays music, you listen. You just follow those sounds, and eventually you understand the music. The point can’t be explained in words because music is not words, but after listening for a while, you understand the point of it, and that point is the music itself. In exactly the same way, you can listen to all experiences.”  - Alan Watts
