Masks inspired by cultural diversity

Como modo de experimento para mi máscara  use mi cara, no fue difícil pero el poceso fue lento. Una vez que saque la mascara de mi cara hubo areas mas difíciles, como los pómulos y la nariz. El resultado me fascino y si lo volviera a repetir.

As a mode of experiment for my mask I used my face, it was not difficult but the process was slow. I was peeling it off my face, there were parts difficult as the cheekbones and nose. The result fascinated me and I will enjoy to do this again.

Mi inspiración es representar los colores brillantes que típicamente se usan en las máscaras que llevan puestas las personas que participan en el baile llamado “El Carnaval“ en Atenco Estado De México. Mi experiencia fue muy divertida.

My inspiration in to create this masck was to represent the bright colors that are typically used in the masks worn by people who participate in the dance called "El Carnaval", Atenco State, Mexico.

My Family. The sun represents my family, the particular reason for the circumstance is we love to be out outside. This activity demonstrates that the rays of the sun represents my kid’s hands. The plants represents my husband he loves to plant them. The face of the sun represents myself because I love make-up. The vine represents us all tied together. To sum up everything that has been started so far is that we love spending time together as a family. That is the exact purpose of my sun.

Para mí es muy importante la naturaleza. El proceso que lleva cada una de las estaciones. Me inspire los "ÁRBOLES", como sobreviven y siguen su proceso a pesar de las altas y bajas temperaturas.

For me, nature is very important, each season of the year and the process that each one of them takes is interesting, but mainly I was inspired by the "TREES", how they survive and continue their process despite the high and low temperatures.

Para esta máscara utilicé algunas de las técnicas que aprendimos durante la clase. Con nuestros ojos vemos profundo (efecto de profundidad) A veces nos sentimos rotos, pero nunca nos desmoronamos (doodle art) Hice la máscara con papel maché 

For this mask I used some of the techniques that we learned during class. With our eyes we see deep (depth effect) Sometimes we feel broke but never fall apart (doodle art) I made the mask with papel mache.

Mascara "Primavera". Fue hecho un dibujo de mariposa y flores para celebrar la primavera y sus colores, la estación más bonita para mi.

"Spring" Mask. My mask was inspired in butterfly and flowers and Spring colors. The Spring is the most beautiful season for me.

Mi Cansada Mascara"

La máscara la pinte de colores fuertes porque llaman la atención, sus líneas de los ojos denotan mi tristeza y las rayas rojas representan mis lágrimas. Quería expresar mis sentimientos. 

"My tired Mask"

I painted the mask in strong colors. The red lines of the eyes show my sadness and the red stripes represent my tears. I wanted to express my feelings.
