Checking Progress and Grades

THE SKYWARD GRADE VIEWER IS UNAVAILABLE DURING SUMMER SCHOOL!

However, a feature in Google Classroom will allow you to track your grades.

  1. In Google Classroom, go to the BIM I CFA class

  2. Go to the Classwork tab

  3. Click on "View Your Work"

  4. You will see your final grade at the top of the screen.

  5. PLEASE NOTE: all grades are initially set to ZERO. As you submit work, your earned grade will replace the zeroes. Your average will reflect what your grade will be if you stop submitted work.

PARENTS: to keep tabs on your student's work, log into their Google Classroom account and follow the steps above.

Grading Procedures

  • Labs are completed either at home or in Open Lab in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Allow 2-3 school days for assignments to be graded.

  • Grade Breakdown:

    • Completion Grades - 40%. These labs are to help you learn the skills you need to finish graded labs. These labs will be graded as a 100 or a 0. Students are required to complete every step in the directions in order to receive the completed lab grade of 100. If student does not have a version of Microsoft Office at home that will complete every step, that student will need to come to the lab at Randall to complete the assignment.

    • Graded Labs - 40%. These labs are graded according to a rubric and will incorporate skills learned in the completion grade labs. A grading rubric for each graded lab is attached to the assignment in Google Classroom. You can use these to see how Mrs. Bass will grade these labs.

    • Section Quizzes - 20%. There will be three quizzes, one for each section of work (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.)

    • Initially, all grades are set to ZERO. As a student completes work, the grade they earn will replace the zero on that assignment. This will allow students and parents to see what a grade would be if they were to stop all work at a specific point.

    • This is a self-paced course. However, each assignment will have a "due date" attached to it. Keeping up with the due dates will help the student be successful in the course.

Mrs. Bass will send emails to parents every two weeks if a student is behind until July 11th. After July 11th the emails will be once a week.
