Chromebook won't turn on? Try a Chromebook Hard Reset. A hardware hard reset is different from a factory reset (Powerwash) and is used to resolve issues like a device that won't turn on, a black screen, or unresponsive hardware. It restarts the device's hardware without deleting your files, but it might remove some files from your Downloads folder.
Turn off: your Chromebook completely.
Press and hold: the Refresh key (it looks like a circular arrow).
While holding Refresh, tap the Power button.
When the Chromebook starts to boot up, release the Refresh key.
