Welcome parents and students to the 2021-2022 school year.  We are excited and eager to work with your child, so he/she can succeed and achieve academic growth in our science class.  Along with your continued support, we can ensure an excellent year.

Resources/Textbook: Science Fusion Texas Grade 6 (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) Each student will receive a free copy of the Student Edition for personal use.  The textbook is the property and responsibility of the student. 

Canutillo Middle School Expectations:

1. Be respectful and courteous to other students and adults.

2. Come to class on time and be prepared.

3. Comply with the dress code at all times.

4. Respect all property.

5. Follow instructions given by faculty and staff.

6. Comply with the Student Code of Conduct.

Classroom Procedure:

1. When students walk into the classroom, they should use a hand sanitizer to wash their hands, get a cleaning wipe and wipe down his/her work area, and then again use a hand sanitizer to wash their hands.

2. Students will bring all necessary materials for the class.

3. Absolutely no food or drinks allowed in class unless given permission by teacher.

4. Before leaving classroom for the next period, procedure 1 will be repeated.

Consequences: 

The choice of breaking Canutillo Middle School Expectations or Classroom Procedure will result in the following consequences:

1st Offense: Verbal warning

2nd Offense: Conference with student and student completes Reflection Form to be submitted to administration.

3rd Offense: Call parents

4th Offense: Refer to Principal or Assistant Principal

*Serious violations will result in immediate dismissal of the class and referral to administration.

Supplies:

composition notebook, glue, scissors, pencils, colored pencils, color printer paper, ruler  (these are all needed for both remote and face to face instruction)

Face to Face instruction: please include 1 bottle of hand sanitizer (girls), 1 box of Kleenex (boys)
