Welcome to our new unit, Seedfolks! This fiction unit will be centered on the novel Seedfolks by award winning author Paul Fleischman and contain some elements of project based learning (PBL) as well. Please use this website for unit information as well as materials. Here is a brief introduction to the unit.
Goals for this unit:
Reading Comprehension - vocabulary, point of view, figurative language, how setting affects plot, conflict/stages of plot, and theme.
Themes - The connections between physical and mental health and nature, questioning stereotypes and seeing people as individuals instead, the importance of community, using the creative process to problem solve, and how environment affects morale.
