Questions and answers:
Where can I find audition information?
All audition information can be found in our google classroom. Please see Mrs. Delaney for the code
What will I need to do for the audition?
For the musical, you will need to sing and read in front of the directors in a group of 4-5 students. For the fall play you will need to read lines/monologues alone and with other students.
What about call backs?
Call backs are for roles that we need to hear or see more from to decide casting. Just because you are called back, it doesn't mean you automatically have a principal or featured role and if you weren't called back it doesn't mean you didn't get a principal or featured role!
Will I get a part in the show?
Everyone who auditions will be a part of the show whether a principal, featured, or ensemble role. Every role in the show is a good role, it is what you make of it!
What if I don't get the part I wanted?
Casting a show is like a giant puzzle. If you didn't get the part you wanted, please know that it's not because the directors didn't think you were talented enough, it just means that somebody else fit the part better for the vision of the directors. It is normal to be disappointed if you didn't get the part you wanted, however, we hope that you will stick with the show and give it your all as we need EVERYONE to make the show successful!
What do I have to do if I'm a part of the show?
Being part of a show is a BIG committment. If you are cast as a principal or featured role you can expect to be rehearsing at least 3 days per week. Ensemble roles must attend 2 rehearsals per week after school from 2:15 until the late bus or 3:40. Please make sure that you have the time and energy to devote to the show!
