Region 10 Compliance videos will be ready July 1st.
Online Compliance Training completion certificates will be due on August 5, 2024. You may complete the training any time between July 1, 2024 and August 4, 2024. Most courses can be found on the Region 10 website. Make sure that when you select courses that they say 2024-2025 compliance courses. If you do not have a login for Region 10, you will need to register with your Canton ISD email address.
Online Compliance Modules will count towards your 3rd comp day for the 2024-2025 school year. Please note that this may not count in future years.
Region 10 Fees:
If you select a session through Region 10 and it tries to charge you select checkout and the balance should go to $0.00. If it does not please cancel the session and email me. (Be sure that you are signed in through your CISD email.)
Instructions to the Region 10 Online Modules:
Go to the Region 10 Website: www.region10.org
Click on Online Learning at the top of the page.
Sign in if it asks you to. Be sure to use your Canton email. Please note that you will have to register if you have never used this website before. It will try to charge you for courses if you do not use the Canton email.

Select the Courses that are listed below on this page. You are not required to do all of them on the webpage.
Once you have completed all the required Compliance Training Courses, you will need to print your certificates. You will be required to submit these to your campus principal by 8/5/24. Please retain a copy for your professional development file. Teachers who do not have a LIFE certificate have to renew their certificates every 5 years and retention of professional development certificates is required in case you are ever audited. It is your responsibility to maintain these records.

1. Human Trafficking (CPE Credit-1)
2. Cybersecurity Course (CPE Credit-1) (Region 10 Website)
3. Trauma-Informed Training (Approximately 1 hour)

New Teachers will receive Compliance training on Section 504, Copyright Law, FERPA & Confidentiality & the Texas Educator Code of Ethics during the New Teacher Induction program. Principals will present these to other campus staff.
