Learning Objectives
Create a block program that makes Sphero BOLT trace a square
Understand the three key Roll block settings: heading, speed, and duration
Test, debug, and refine your code to make sharp corners
Apply your code to control BOLT in a Sphero Hockey game
If our code doesn’t work ...
Too small? Increase the duration (how long it rolls)
Too fast? Lower the speed value (e.g., 30 instead of 50)
Rounded corners? Increase the delay to 1.5 or 2 seconds
Wrong angle? Check that headings are 0, 90, 180, 270
Apply Your Code: Sphero Hockey
Use your square code skills to play Sphero Hockey!
Work in pairs or small groups with one BOLT and a soft puck
Take turns as Coder, Driver, and Observer/Coach
Adjust heading and speed to aim at the goal
Test different angles and speeds to score
