3 things you should know about me:

1. I am a dog lover. We got a new puppy in early July, and I have been running ragged trying to train him while refereeing all of the dog 'playing', which really looks like dog fighting. Oh...we already have a 5 year old chocolate lab named Bear; this summer we added Bodhi, a yellow lab mix. I also have two grown children and a husband, but the dogs are more fun to talk about;)

2. I am a reader. I read as much YA literature as I can so that I can make connections with students and recommend some great books. Nothing is more satisfying than having an 8th grader come up to me to just talk about their book and tell me how much they loved it.

3. I love my job. This is my 12th year teaching 8th grade language arts. My students make me smile everyday, in one way or another.
