CAREER DEVELOPMENT

- Students will acquire the skills to investigate the world of work in relation to knowledge of self and to make informed career decisions.- Students will employ strategies to achieve future career goals with success and satisfaction. - Students will understand the relationship between personal qualities, education, training, and the world of work.
Delivery System:- Individual counseling: working with students one-on-one to identify interests, discuss future planning, and to set short and long-term goals.- Group counseling: working with students in small groups who have similar needs or interests during ACE and study hall periods.- Classroom guidance: working with students within the classroom on interest inventories, personal value assessments, and to research post- secondary options.- Referrals: connecting students to community programs and agencies that support their specific post-secondary goals.
