I am involved in the following research projects:
Contextual Stochastic Optimization by using Mirror Progressive Hedging: Data-driven optimization with decision-aware learning by a Progressive Hedging algorithm tailored for Contextual stochastic optimization.
Bilevel for learning or learning for Bilevel: Leverage of bilevel optimization tools to gain a deeper understanding of training machine learning pipelines, and vice-versa.
Bilevel Optimization and Interdiction Problems with CO Layers in deep-learning pipeline: Designing of hybrid pipelines composed of combinatorial optimization layers enriched by deep-learning learning models to solve challenging interdiction bilevel problems.
March 2023 - May 2023 Research grant on the topic "Combinatorial Optimization Models and Algorithms defined on Graphs;" I was involved in research projects along with Samuel Fiorini at the ULB University of Brussels.
Subdeterminants in Integer Programming: The aim is the study of the prism of subdeterminants for constraint matrix for hard combinatorial problems.
January 2020 - May 2023: Doctoral Student in the Group of Operations Research of Professor Stefano Gualandi at the University of Pavia.
March 2022 - June 2022: Ph.D. Visiting Student at Columbia University, New York City, invited by Professor Yuri Faenza. The aim of the collaboration revolves around Extended formulations techniques in Integer Programming.
January 2022 - October 2022 : I collaborate also with colleagues at the University of Pavia by exploiting Integer Linear Programming and Computational Models to tackle Mathematical Music Problems.
I spent part of my doctoral studies to devise exact approaches to Total Matching and Total Coloring Problems.
