For CTAS 2023, we are continuing forward with camp under an abundance of caution, closely following the guidelines of the CDC and CTL. Decisions about COVID-19 protocols and policies are subject to change up until, and during, the camp session based on the recommendations of the CDC and CTL. Any changes or pertinent updates will be communicated via email. Please check our website at www.camptwitchandshout.org for updates on these policies as well. We are continuing to closely monitor CDC guidelines and collaborate with Camp Twin Lakes to support a fun, healthy, and safe camp experience for all of our campers, staff, and volunteers. We are closely monitoring the latest information and recommendations for our camp setting, with the purpose of supporting the health and safety of every camp participant. Policies are subject to change.
Any camper found by the CTAS Medical Team to have concerns for communicable illness, including COVID-19, at any time during the camp session will require pick up from CTAS within 12 hours.
WILL MASKS BE REQUIRED AT CAMP?
Currently, we are NOT expecting to enforce masks at camp. That said, we will continue to follow the CDC guidelines for our area and setting at the time of camp. Of course, we encourage those who would like to mask to continue to do so. We also recommend making sure your child is prepared to wear a mask in case of changes to CDC guidelines.
WHAT OTHER TESTING AND SCREENING POLICIES WILL OCCUR AT CAMP?
Each camp participant will undergo a health screening aligned with the recommendations of the American Camp Association (ACA) upon arrival at CTAS 2023, which will include screening for COVID-19 exposure and symptoms. If any camp participant presents with possible symptoms of COVID-19 at camp, they will be tested with an OTC test on site. Parents will be notified immediately if a child is presenting with need to be tested, in addition to results of the test. CTAS and CTL will continue to retain the right to dismiss any camp participant, regardless of test result.
WILL A COVID-19 OR VACCINATION TEST BE REQUIRED BEFORE CAMP?***
At this time (6/3/23), all camp participants must show EITHER: 1) Proof of COVID-19 vaccination by time of arrival at camp, or 2) Negative PCR test dated at least 72 hours before arrival at camp.CAMP TWITCH AND SHOUT STRONGLY RECOMMENDS VACCINATION AGAINST COVID-19.
All non-vaccinated camp participants will be required to complete a PCR test dated within 72 hours before camp.
All vaccinated participants will need to provide proof of full vaccination (2 doses plus booster if eligible).
It is possible, based on trends in COVID-19 numbers and CDC guidelines, that a rapid test may be required for ALL participants within 24 hours of arrival at camp. This will be announced within 2 weeks before camp.

WHAT IF MY CAMPER GETS SICK AT CAMP?
Individuals with COVID symptoms [at camp] must complete an OTC test. Positive tested individuals' co-campers, staff, and/or volunteers must be dismissed from camp. It should also be noted that caregivers MUST pick up their camper within 12 hours of pick up being requested by CTL or CTAS.
Camp Twin Lakes and Camp Twitch and Shout reserve the right to dismiss any individual on camp, for any season, including suspected/confirmed COVID positive cases.
