2) What are THREE traditions of your chosen country's culture? (Multi)

• Explain what they are.
• Explain why they are traditions?

3) What are THREE values of your chosen country's culture? (Think about laws, customs, practices they use/do). (Multi)

• Research values and chose three your country uses.
• Explain how you see these values in your country?

4) What is your chosen country's national sport and why? Find out the history of the national sport. (Uni/Multi)

Part B - How sport brings people together to reflect identity.

You need to choose ONE of the following questions to base your inquiry on. You and your partner must do a different one each.

A) How does the Rugby World Cup reflect the identity of people in New Zealand?

B) Create a collage using pictures and words of your chosen country’s culture and national sport.

C) As a reporter in Japan, for the Rugby World Cup, present an article highlighting how different cultures have been respected in the Rugby World Cup.

D) Include your own cartoon in response to the statement ‘Sport defines us as kiwis’.

Part C - Presentation

Purpose:

The purpose of Part C is to collaborate with your group to collate, and organise your research notes, thinking and communication style to present your inquiry.

• You and your group will need to ensure your presentation is aimed towards a Year 7/8 student.
• Your presentation will need to be a quality presentation. This means your presentation should meet the success criteria:

How will the presentation be marked?

• The marking will be done according to the SOLO rubrics provided on Workspace.
• You should ensure that throughout this project you are using these SOLO rubrics as a guide, and working accordingly.
• Each person in your group is responsible for producing work and thinking on his/her own, which will then contribute towards the final presentation in Part C.
• You may work together to share research and discuss ideas, but essentially the presentation work is a combination of each person’s responses to the broad questions in Part A and Part B.

You should ensure each person’s work is clearly named in the final presentation.
