What are we learning this week?
We are learning about the characteristics of an Ancient Hero
We are learning how to identify the characteristics of a Homeric hero through the use of Primary source material.
We are learning about the contextual background The Aeneid.
Why are we learning it?
Because we need to understand why it is important to understand the ancient world and how it is influential for us today.
Because we need to understand the core beliefs of the Ancient Greek and Romans so that we can fully understand their culture and achievements
Because we need to utilise these skills when completing our internal assessment.
How will we know if we have learnt it?
We will be able to identify the characteristics of a Homeric Hero
We will be able to explain why these characteristices were valued in Ancient Greece.
We will be able to articulate how the ancient world has influenced us.
