SHOWER BREECH REPAIRS

The shower breech is the section of pipework in the wall between the taps and outlet which is not under continually pressure as the water is held behind the tap valves either side.

When you have a shower and operate the taps the water mixes and discharges from your shower head. The fluctuating water temperatures in this section of pipework causes an expansion and contraction effect, which over time increase the wear and tear on pipework.

Because this section of pipework is not always under constant pressure these leaks which can vary from pin pricks to 5cm holes can be difficult to identify and cause significant damage prior to you noticing. Where as a leak on a pressurized section of pipework will leak continually and will be located quicker.
