Create a book trailer for a book that you have read this year. Be sure your book trailer is similar to a movie trailer. You want to convince people to read the book without giving away too much about the book. You want to leave them hanging and wanting to read the book to find out what happens.
In order to qualify for the prize, you must do the following:
1) Completely fill out and turn in the planning sheet,
2) Have a works cited page in your trailer for the images and quotes you use in your video,
3) Have someone peer edit your video to ensure you have followed all the Oak Ridge Non--negotiables (Capital letters, punctuation, correct spelling, etc),
4) Fill out the Google Form with a link to the video you created. If you make a book trailer from the list of Mark Twain or Truman Preliminary Nominees, your book trailer could be submitted to the Missouri Association of School Librarians statewide contest. See Mrs. Neal for more details.
You may use a personal video creation tool or WeVideo to complete this challenge. If you are going to use your school account to create the video, you must join WeVideo by clicking on the link below (WeVideo Checkout) to join the Media Center Challenge in WeVideo (only after completing the planning template). There is a "How to Use WeVideo" video in the resources below. Please watch it before trying to create your video. If you need additional help, please see Mrs. Neal for assistance.

In this challenge, you will be creating a Book Snap. First, look at the examples provided. Use the examples in the Slide Show as a model for creating your Book Snap. Next, pick a book to read. After reading, choose a favorite quote from a book you've read. It would be a good idea to write down some of your favorite quotes while reading the book. Then, you will begin creating your Book Snap. Include your thoughts about the quote in the Book Snap. Thoughts about what you are reading a key to winning this challenge. You will put the quote, your thoughts, and a pic All ON ONE SLIDE. When creating your Snap, DO NOT create a second slide. Use the slide that has already been created in the assignment. Be sure to submit before the deadline to be eligible to win a prize! Book Snaps will be printed and put on display outside the library. NOTE: To complete this challenge, you must access the Book Snap Template from the Media Center Google Classroom.

You can also view other students' book reviews for inspiration. Click on the Padlet link below and sign in with your Google account. Click on the plus button and then the 12+. Choose Video Recorder and make your video. Be sure to title your video with the title of the Book AND your name. Remember, you can win a free lunch to be delivered to your lunch table!
