Steindorf's general music classes are centered around Orff Schulwerk philosophy, and literacy is taught using the Conversational Solfege Curriculum. All K-5 musicians attend weekly music classes. In these classes, we will apply our learning through song, movement, and notation. Starting with a steady beat on simple percussion instruments in first grade, we will begin exploring rhythm and melody by second grade, using barred instruments, recorders, and finally, ukuleles as we move from grade to grade. Click here for the District K-5 General Music Website.
