📚ELA: This week, we continued reading the book Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech. We are studying the elements of a story and character traits as we go through this exciting novel!
Students are continuing to read about the American Revolution and they are using the knowledge of what they read to write their own piece of historical fiction.

🌎Social Science: Students are learning about the American Revolution in class. They have formed “families” and are working together to explore what makes a successful colony. This week, they created their town blueprint, a family crest, and bartered with other families to prepare for the “winter.” Additionally, they are reading about key events and battles of the American Revolution, and learning about how these events have shaped our nation.
📏Math:
This week, students planned a road trip! They calculated the cost of several different things (gas, supplies, etc.) they would need for their trip. Students also worked on bartering with other students as part of our colony project- they used their math skills to do this!
*Khan Academy & Imagine Learning math are directly related to the Eureka modules. (they are organized by unit and topic). These are fantastic resources for students who need extra practice or clarification!!
