Hello!
I'm Mrs. Giannini. Thank you for visiting my site. Here's a little information about me:
Before I became a teacher, I attended Pepperdine University where I earned a Master’s Degree in Education. I have been an educator for the past 18 years and I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade.
As a lifelong learner, I enjoy attending trainings that strengthen my teaching practice. Some of my additional certifications include a Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator certification with an emphasis in trauma informed teaching practices, a 200 Hour Yoga-Teacher Certification (CYT200), and a GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition and Design) certification. I am passionate about bringing mindfulness practices and movement into the classroom since these practices improve academic performance and overall student well-being.
In my classroom, my students collaborate, communicate, and think critically through their assignments. I teach my students that with a positive attitude and perseverance, they can achieve their academic goals!
When I am not teaching, I can be found reading, doing yoga, skiing, or traveling with my husband and our dog Luke.
