Zoom

Zoom

Zoom is the software we will use for live meetings with teachers.

Your teacher will provide you with a link to your Zoom meetings either on your Clever Portal or in Google Classroom.

The Zoom app is automatically added to Chromebooks and will open once you click on the link from your teachers.

Be sure you know how to mute and unmute as well as turn your camera off and on.

Your teacher may even ask you to share your screen.

Audio or Video issues with Zoom?

  • This could be an issue related to you WiFi performance.

  • Try to limit the number of devices connected to your network.

  • Limit the number of tabs you have open.

  • Be close to your router

  • Keep your audio muted unless you need to talk

  • Start the meeting with your camera turned off until you need it.

  • Be plugged into power

  • Use Speaker View instead of gallery

  • Hide Self view so you won’t see yourself

  • Still having issues? Try leaving the meeting and rejoining. If needed, turn your device off and back on and retry.

  1. Click on the clock in the lower right hand corner of your screen

  2. Select the Cog at the top right, for the "Settings" menu

  3. Select "About Chrome OS at the bottom left of the menu that comes up next.
