Call for Papers
The 1st Workshop on Social and Affective Intelligence (SAI) at ACII 2023 invites researchers from emotion science, social cognition, affective computing, human-machine interaction (HMI), and human-robot interaction (HRI) to discuss social and affective intelligence in humans and machines.
This workshop invites researchers to submit papers in the following areas:
List of Questions
What are the relationships between social intelligence and affective intelligence in humans?
How can insights from these relationships in humans influence modeling approaches in affective computing, HMI, and HRI?
What are best practices for designing virtual and embodied agents that can jointly sense, perceive, interpret, and simulate social and affective phenomena?

Affective and social robots and virtual agents
Cognitively-inspired modeling architectures for robots and virtual agents
Psychological and neural perspectives on social and affective intelligence in humans
Affective and social adaptation and personalization for virtual and embodied AI
Social robots and virtual agents for well-being
Paper Submission:
We invite authors to submit contributions as regular paper (6-8 pages long) or position papers (2-4 pages long), using the conference paper format provided by ACII 2023.
