QUOCA Data Formatting

Output should be produced in a manner consistent with the CMOR tables available here.

QUOCA Data Upload and Access

QUOCA is utilizing the QBOi workspace under JASMIN.  To request an account for the QBOi workspace, please follow these steps: 

1. Go here
   https://help.jasmin.ac.uk/docs/short-term-project-storage/introduction-to-group-workspaces/#requesting-access-to-a-gws

2. And follow the “list of available GWSs” link: https://accounts.jasmin.ac.uk/services/group_workspaces/

3. Search for “qboi”. Click on the “more information” button and there will be a button to request access. The request will go to the managers of the QBOi project, and one of them will approve it. You should write a short sentence or two justifying the request.

Initial analysis of the output will be carried out by community working groups organized through the QUOCA project. The output will be made available to the broader community. However, for an initial embargo period, to allow time for this analysis to be carried out and ensure modeling centers receive recognition for the time and resources that they have committed, anyone wishing to publish results based on the QUOCA dataset will be asked to offer co-authorship to the QUOCA leads and modeling center contacts.

QUOCA Data License

We recommend use of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) International License. A template for including this license information within netcdf output is: 

“QUOCA model data produced by * is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses).  Consult QUOCA coordinators (https://sites.google.com/cam.ac.uk/quoca-project/) for terms of use governing QUOCA output, including citation requirements and proper acknowledgment. The data producers and data providers make no warranty, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. All liabilities arising from the supply of the information (including any liability arising in negligence) are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law."
