The New Directions conference will welcome you to the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research at the University of Cambridge. 

Talks will be held in the Seminar Room on the ground floor, which is adjacent to a comfortable reception space and kitchenette.

By train

From Cambridge station, it's just a 25 minute walk to the McDonald Institute. Or you can take a number of buses:

• U to Pembroke Street

• 1/3 to St Andrew's Street

• 7 to Emmanuel Street

• PR4 to Drummer Street

Taxis are also available.

By bus

The closest bus stop to the McDonald is St Andrew's Street, which is a very short walk down the road. This is an ideal stop to choose if you have any mobility concerns.

By plane

There are trains going directly to Cambridge from Stansted (~30 mins) & Gatwick (~2 hours) airports. It's about 2 hours on the train from Heathrow, but you will need to take the tube to a central London station. 

If you plan to book a taxi, this will be cheapest from Stansted.
