Computer Laboratory (Cambridge) & Hybrid | 18th June (Full-day)
This full-day workshop offers a practical and conceptual introduction to eye-tracking as an experimental method for language and education research. It brings together expert speakers and practitioners to guide participants through the full research pipeline from experimental design and data collection to analysis.
The day is organised into two complementary sessions, which you are welcome to attend together or separately:
Morning · Hands-on Workshop (9:30–12:00, in person only)
A small-group, beginner-friendly session in which participants will work directly with an eye-tracker, learn to build a simple experiment in PsychoPy Builder, and walk through data inspection and analysis using Data Viewer and an existing dataset. No computational background required. Limited to 15 places.
Afternoon · Research Talks (13:30–16:50, in person + online)
A series of talks from invited speakers presenting their work using eye-tracking for language and education research, followed by Q&A. This session is offered in a hybrid format, with both in-person and online attendance available.
Whether you're new to eye-tracking and curious about its potential, or already working in the field and looking to engage with current research, we hope you'll find something valuable across the day.
